Spinal Bracing

When your doctor gives you a prescription for a spinal brace, call CTPO to schedule your initial appointment.

Your initial appointment (20-30 minutes):
• Based on your comments and what your Doctor has prescribed, our practitioner will evaluate your condition and take measurements of your torso.
• Our practitioner will talk with you about the design of the orthosis you will wear and answer any questions you may have.
•Initial evaluation and delivery in one apt. – no fabrication time.

Your delivery appointment (30-60 minutes):
• Based on your doctor’s evaluation and your needs, the practitioner will do a final shaping/tailoring of the orthosis and ensure that it is working properly.

Follow Up & Adjustments:
• You will experience an adjustment period of about 2 weeks with your new orthosis.
• You may call CTPO to make an appointment for adjustment & modification.

Insurance & Payment:
• There is no cost or co-payment for office visits. The total cost to you & your insurance will be the cost of your orthosis.
• CTPO can bill Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurance companies for your orthosis.
• If you have not met your deductible or you have a co-insurance to pay, you will receive a bill for your portion from CTPO after your insurance has made payment (usually within 30 days). Payments can be made by credit card or check.
• We also offer CareCredit, a no-interest (for 12 months) health care credit card. You can fill out an application for CareCredit at CTPO or at home online, and receive approval in a few minutes. CareCredit can be used to cover the patient portion of your orthosis.
