Foot Orthotics

When your foot & ankle surgeon or doctor gives you a prescription for foot orthotics, call CTPO to schedule your initial appointment.

Your initial appointment (20-30 minutes):
· Based on your comments and what your Doctor has prescribed, our practitioner will evaluate your condition, take molds of your feet, talk with you about the design of the orthotics you will wear and answer any questions you may have.
· On your way out, you may schedule your second appointment for delivery. CTPO fabricates our custom foot orthotics in house. Fabrication time is usually 1-2 weeks.

Your delivery appointment (30-40 minutes):
· Bring the shoes with which you will wear your orthotics (work shoes, tennis shoes, dress shoes or boots).
· The practitioner will do a final shaping/tailoring of the orthotics, based on your condition and medical needs, and ensure that they are working properly.

Adjustments:
· Your orthotics will take about 2 weeks to thoroughly form to your feet. You may call CTPO to make an appointment for adjustment.

Insurance:
· Custom foot orthotics may or may not be covered under your insurance plan.
· CTPO staff can check your policy to verify if they are covered.
· You may also call CTPO to see if CTPO is in-network with your insurance. CTPO staff can also give you the billing code for custom foot orthotics so you can call your insurance company and verify your benefit.

Cost:
· There is no charge for your initial visit or your adjustment visits.
· The cost of the orthotics is $350.00, due at the time of your delivery appointment.
· You may have a second pair fabricated for a second pair of shoes for $285.00. Orthotics can be made for a variety of shoes, including tennis shoes, sandals, dress shoes, work boots and work shoes. The materials and trim-lines of the orthotics differ based on the type of shoe.

Payment Options:
· If your orthotics are not covered by your insurance, you can pay the full amount with a credit card or check.
· We also offer CareCredit, a no-interest (for 12 months) health care credit card. You can fill out an application for CareCredit at CTPO or at home online, and receive approval in a few minutes.
· If your orthotics are covered by your insurance but you have not met your deductible or you have a patient portion to pay, you will receive a bill for your portion from CTPO after your insurance has made payment (usually 30 days).
