Cervical Collars
When your doctor gives you a prescription for cervical collars, call CTPO to schedule your initial appointment before your surgery date.
Your initial appointment (30 minutes):
• Based on your doctor’s prescription, our practitioner will make an evaluation, take measurements and fit with you the appropriate cervical collars.
• CTPO normally stocks the various types and sizes or cervical collars so that you are only required to visit CTPO once. In the event that we need to special order your cervical collars, you will need to come back for a second visit in approximately 2-3 days.
• Our practitioner will talk with you about the cervical collars you will wear after your surgery and answer any questions you may have.Follow Up & Adjustments:
• You may call CTPO to make an appointment for adjustment & modification.Insurance & Payment:
• There is no cost or co-payment for office visits. The total cost to you & your insurance will be the cost of your orthosis.
• CTPO can bill Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurance companies for your orthosis.
• If you have not met your deductible or you have a co-insurance to pay, you will receive a bill for your portion from CTPO after your insurance has made payment (usually within 30 days). Payments can be made by credit card or check.
• We also offer CareCredit, a no-interest (for 12 months) health care credit card. You can fill out an application for CareCredit at CTPO or at home online, and receive approval in a few minutes. CareCredit can be used to cover the patient portion of your orthosis.
